Interactive 3D Planet Demo

Explore Earth, Venus, Mars, and their moons.

Click a planet or moon in the 3D scene to inspect researched atmosphere, surface, radius, gravity, temperature, orbit, and moon data. The Sun, planet radii, and orbital distances use real relative scale; markers are enlarged as clickable UI pins.

Research Notes

Accuracy choices.

The data panel uses NASA-published facts for the planets and moons. Venus is shown with no natural moon; Zoozve is noted as a quasi-satellite because NASA describes it as an asteroid near Venus, not a moon. The 3D scene uses true relative scale for the Sun, planet radii, and orbital distances. City and colony pins are enlarged UI markers so they remain clickable.

Planet & Moon Textures

Earth, Venus, Mars, Phobos, and Deimos texture maps are local copies from JPL/Caltech Solar System Simulator texture maps. The Moon texture is NASA SVS CGI Moon Kit color imagery assembled from Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter data. NASA/JPL imagery is credited here and is used for educational visualization.

Data Accuracy

Planetary facts are summarized from NASA pages. City markers use approximate public latitude/longitude positions and are not navigation-grade. Fejar Mars Colony 01 is fictional and labeled as a concept.

Scale Note

The Sun, planet radii, and planetary orbit distances use real relative ratios. Clickable shells and UI pins are intentionally enlarged because true-scale city pins and small moons would be nearly impossible to select.
